Setup

1. Input your current setup into tsitu's Catch Rate Estimator (CRE).

2. Compare the catch rate of your current setup vs the setup you are thinking of buying.

3. Decide if you want to spend the gold/time/resources on the new setup for the ___% increase in catch rate.

Next trap / base progression

If you are wondering which trap or base you should buy next, here are 2 handy resources from Zafiast:

1) Traps & bases tier table

2) Traps & bases guide

Location-specific upgrades

Some areas are meant to be hard before you get certain location-specific upgrades, rather than better traps/bases. Listed below are some examples but this isn't exhaustive:

- Fort Rox: focus on upgrading defenses; Frox upgrade orders: Recommended, Alternative

- Rift areas: prioritise completing your Riftstalker set; Rift set bonus

- Furoma rift: repair batteries before catching mice higher in the Pagoda; Aard's battery levels

- Valour rift: upgrade Speed, Sync, Siphon & activate Augmentations to reach higher Tower levels; Vrift upgrade order

New Best vs Old Best

1. Is owning the Old Best a requirement for buying the New Best?

If yes, you definitely need the Old Best first.

2. If New/Old Best has:

Higher Power = more effective against Boss mice (e.g. Tritus, Dojo Sensei)

Higher Luck = more effective for all other mice, helps a bit with lucky loot drops

Depending on the mice you're hunting, you might want to have both! Luck vs Power mechanic

3. It is very likely that New Best will take considerable effort to acquire so:

- You may naturally attain Old Best on your way to New Best (e.g. MYNORCA & TDT).

- So it would be beneficial to get Old Best first to ensure you have the best catch rates while chasing New Best.
